A new category of candidate search engines is cropping up. These new sites scrape social media sites, looking for passive candidate profiles that mention certain skills. They then enable recruiters to search for these skills, follow the links to the unsuspecting candidate’s social media profiles, and make available email or other contact information. TalentBin specializes in techies, and is quite affordable for what it offers.
